Job description:
We are looking for a Shift Network and Security Engineer to join our IT operations team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting network and security infrastructure in a shift based environment. You will ensure uninterrupted network performance, enforce security policies, and respond to incidents in real time.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security alerts on a 24/7 rotational shift.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices.
• Respond to network outages, security threats, and service disruptions with timely resolution.
• Perform incident analysis, root cause identification, and implement preventive measures.
• Manage security tools such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners.
• Maintain and update documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors, ISP providers, and internal teams for issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and company policies.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in network and security engineering (NOC/SOC/Operations preferred).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with SIEM/SOC tools and security monitoring.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Security+, CEH, or related credentials are a plus.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
