Position: Safety Officer
Location: Guyana
Department: HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)
Reports To: HSE Manager / Project Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based
Project: Road Construction
Job Purpose
Support implementation of HSE management systems on-site
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies
Maintain a safe working environment through inspections, training, and enforcement of safe practices

Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance & Site Inspections Project management software

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and HSE policies
Conduct daily site inspections
Monitor high-risk activities (excavation, working near traffic, hot work, equipment use)
2. Incident & Investigation

Respond to accidents and incidents
Conduct investigations and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
3. Training & Awareness

Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions
Promote awareness of safe working practices
4. Risk Assessment & Permits

Assist in preparing Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Manage Permit to Work (PTW) systems
