Construction Director
Astana, Kazakhstan

We are currently looking for a Construction Director for a large construction company, who will be responsible for the organization and management of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of construction strategy for multiple projects (4 projects at the technical implementation stage, 2 projects at the design stage with no approved design documentation);
- Preparation and management of the construction master schedule, with full control over timelines and budgets;
- Organization and supervision of all construction phases: design, construction and installation works, and project commissioning;
- Ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance;
- Management of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers;
- Control of financial discipline and cost optimization across projects;
- Participation in investment and development projects, including cost estimation and ROI analysis;
- Interaction with government authorities, architectural bodies, and regulatory agencies;
- Ensuring timely commissioning and handover of completed facilities.

Requirements:
- Higher technical education (specialization in Civil and Industrial Construction or Architecture);
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry;
- At least 5 years of management experience as a Project Manager or similar senior role;
- International experience is a strong advantage, particularly in the Middle East;
- Ability to balance commercial, design, and financial interests;
- Proven ability to work under pressure in terms of deadlines, quality, and budget constraints;
- Strong knowledge of construction technologies, with experience in implementing innovations and process optimization;
- Excellent planning, risk management, and negotiation skills;
- Strategic mindset, mentoring experience, and ability to build long-term partnerships;
- High level of responsibility, systems thinking, and stress resilience;
- Strong personal involvement and readiness for frequent business trips and site visits;
- Fluent Russian and English;
- Confident user of AutoCAD.
